About Me

Hello, I’m Sinead!

The founder of So Therapy. I’m a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and an integrative counsellor with over ten years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. My approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and the belief that everyone deserves a space to be heard, understood, and empowered.

In my work, I blend traditional talk therapy with creative practices like art therapy to help clients explore their emotions and experiences meaningfully. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you uncover insights, build resilience, and move toward the life you want to create.

My practice focuses on offering a warm, non-judgmental environment where we can work together to meet your unique needs.

  My Approach and Values

At So Therapy, I provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. My work is rooted in person-centered therapy, which places your unique needs, experiences, and goals at the heart of our work together. This approach focuses on fostering self-awareness, self-acceptance, and personal growth, empowering you to find your own solutions with my support.

As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities, tailoring my approach to meet your individual needs. This means that, alongside person-centered therapy, I may incorporate elements from other evidence-based practices, such as gestalt, mindfulness, or creative methods like art therapy. This flexibility allows me to respond to the complexities of each client’s journey in a way that feels meaningful and effective.

My Values

Kindness and respect are central to how I work. I believe in honoring every client’s inherent worth, offering empathy and understanding as we navigate your challenges together. Building trust and mutual respect is key to creating a therapeutic relationship where you feel genuinely supported and empowered.

I also strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment, respecting the diverse identities and experiences that each client brings into the room.

Commitment to Ethics

As a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), I adhere to their rigorous ethical framework. This means I am committed to maintaining confidentiality, practicing with integrity, and continually reflecting on and improving my work through supervision and ongoing professional development. Upholding these ethics is essential to ensuring that you feel safe, respected, and supported throughout our therapeutic relationship.
